Dr Diane Costello, Research Fellow, Alcoa Research Centre for Stronger Communities

PhD in Community Psychology , Bachelor of Science (Honours 1st Class) Psychology.

Diane has had extensive consultancy experience in undertaking research in rural and Indigenous communities examining community resilience and adaptation.  Her PhD which evaluated a rural community’s application of the United Nation’s sustainability principles for community development provided the framework for integrating quadruple bottom line processes and outcomes for community and social sustainability.  Her research experience with policy and program evaluation has provided relevant expertise in understanding the fit between public policy, community functioning and adaptation toward a sustainable energy future.
